One of my customers came into the juice bar feeling ill, he said he had a gig that night and he couldn’t cancel. Could I help him?

Massive Vitamin C, antiviral, immune boosting, anti-inflammatory and something to make it taste good and voila, the Flu Buster was born.

He returned the next day and said, “That drink is a miracle!” He was able to perform that night and he was still feeling much better. This recipe has helped countless people since then, often in one day.

When you first notice you’re coming down with something, drink 1 to 3 of these concoctions over the course of a day and if you can, avoid solid food. Drink clear liquids like water, warm broth and herbal tea. The digestive system requires more energy than any other system in the body. When we give the digestive system a rest by not eating solid food, there’s more energy left for the immune system to ramp it up and either eliminate or shorten the length of the illness.

The flu buster recipe: icon_strawberries_jewell

Juice of 3 or 4 oranges
2 cups of water
Juice of 1 lemon
6 strawberries – fresh or frozen
1 Tb. Omega Fatty Acid Oil (Udo’s – my preference)
1 full dropper of echinacea and goldenseal
1 small chunk of fresh ginger
1 clove of garlic (crushed or chopped)
1 Tsp. Vitamin C powder
Dash cayenne pepper

Put all in a blender, blend until smooth and drink.
